Gabr El Bint means “The Grave of the Girl.” It gets its name from a sad folk story about a girl in love with a local boy. This dive site is about 15 km south of Dahab and is accessible by day boats. You can dive on both the right and left sides.

The right side, often called the dark side, features steep walls carved by earthquakes. Here, you'll find overhangs and caves. Milkfish are common, and there’s a chance of spotting sharks.
The drop-off is adorned with beautiful table corals.

On the left side, a dense row of large Gorgonian fan corals awaits. Some say these are the largest in the entire Red Sea. Among these corals, look for the longnose hawkfish hiding.
This side is more colorful than the right, with large boulders that host swarms of anthias and glassfish. Keep an eye on the blue for trevallies hunting fusiliers.

As you swim toward the saddle, watch for turtles munching on soft corals.
Red sea walkman often rest on the sandy alley that runs parallel to the shore. While following the shoreline, look for crocodile fish and scorpion fish camouflaged in the sand. At the end of the sandy ledge, you might see a group of black and white snappers.

This Dahab dive site is considered one of the most attractive in the area.
